There comes a moment in many of our lives when what once made sense no longer feels true.

On the outside, everything may appear fine. We may be successful, responsible, and doing everything we were taught we should do. Yet quietly, something begins to stir beneath the surface.

A longing.

A restlessness.

A feeling that there must be something more.

For me, that longing became the beginning of a journey.

Over the years, it led me into psychology, mythology, fairy tales, scripture, symbolism, and spiritual traditions from around the world. What surprised me most wasn’t how different these traditions were—it was how often they were pointing toward the same truths.

Again and again, I found stories of exile and return.

Stories of forgetting and remembering.

Stories that seemed to understand the human soul long before we had modern psychology to describe it.

Eventually, I realized these weren’t simply stories about people who lived long ago.

They were stories about us.

About the parts of ourselves we’ve forgotten.

The masks we’ve learned to wear.

The lives we’ve built to survive.

And the quiet voice within that never stops calling us home.

That realization became Know Thy Soul.

Know Thy Soul is an invitation to slow down, listen deeply, and begin remembering what has always been true. Together we’ll explore myths, fairy tales, scripture, symbolism, psychology, and spiritual traditions—not simply to understand ancient stories, but to better understand ourselves.

If you’re new here, I hope you’ll begin with the trailer below. It’s a brief introduction to the journey we’ll be taking together.

There’s a quiet knowing that lives within each of us.

A voice that never stops whispering.

Calling us beyond what feels safe,

beyond the life we’ve built to protect ourselves

and back to what is most true.

You’ve heard this voice.

And you’ve felt what it’s like to ignore it.

This voice is your soul.

And in a world filled with noise and constant distraction…

something else has quietly taken root.

Disconnection.

I call this soul-loss.

Not because the soul disappears—

but because we lose our relationship to it.

We learn to live from the outside in,

when the soul was always meant to lead from the inside out.

And the stories have always shown us.

The maiden locked in the tower.

The daughter pulled into the underworld.

The first woman blamed for the fall.

These are not just stories.

They’re maps.

Maps of exile and forgetting

But also, maps of remembrance and return.

This is your invitation to listen again.

If you’ve ever felt that pull—

that sense that there’s something more true, more real, more you…

you’re in the right place.

If this resonates, subscribe and join me.

And, Welcome to Know Thy Soul.

I’m your host, Jennifer Maura DePascale.

And after a lifetime of learning to listen for the soul’s quiet voice, I’m here to walk that path with you.

Together, we’ll explore the wisdom hidden in spiritual texts, myths, and fairy tales, bridging ancient wisdom with the patterns and realities of modern life,

and remembering what these teachings have always been pointing us toward:

The kingdom of heaven is within.

The divine dwells in the heart.

The Way lives within all things.

What we seek is not outside of us.

It never was.

Because the stories have always been pointing us toward the same thing:

The journey home to ourselves.
